2025年の釣りの締めくくりは、今年も神奈川県厚木市にある厚木へら鮒センターで。
大池桟橋、高架向きに座りました。8尺で底が取れて、7尺でもハリスを長くすると段底ができます。宙のアタリと底のアタリの両方を狙える釣り方、『ダブルアプローチ』。底舐めよりも底のアタリをより意識して釣ります。
メーター規定の大池とタナ規定のない小池には、店主さんが手と心を尽くして守り続けている元気なへらがいて、厳寒期でも釣り人を楽しませてくれます。金魚釣りや鯉釣りも楽しめます。そこで楽しんだ子ども達が将来へら師になってくれるのを期待しようではありませんか。
厚木へら鮒センターが私たちを引き付けて止まないのは、メニューが毎日変わるランチ。3種類から選べます。へら師は釣りに夢中なのでお昼ご飯を食べない人もいるようですが、こちらではお昼をちゃんと食べる方が多いように思います。

To wrap up my 2025 fishing season, I returned once again to Atsugi Herabuna Center in Atsugi City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
I sat on the large pond pier, facing the overpass. With an 8-shaku rod, I could reach the bottom, and with a 7-shaku rod and longer leaders, I could fish using the ‘DANZOKO’ method.
This approach, called the ‘Double Approach,’ targets both mid-water and bottom bites. I focused more on detecting bottom bites rather than just brushing the bottom.
The main pond, with its meter-depth regulation, and the smaller pond, which has no depth restrictions, are home to lively herabuna (Japanese crucian carp) lovingly cared for by the owner. Even in the coldest season, they bring joy to anglers. You can also enjoy goldfish and carp fishing. Let’s hope the children who had fun there today grow up to become herabuna anglers in the future!
One of the irresistible charms of the Atsugi Herabuna Center is the daily-changing lunch menu. You can choose from three different options. While some anglers get so absorbed in fishing that they skip lunch, it seems many here make time to enjoy a proper meal.
If there were a Michelin Guide for fishing spots, this place would definitely earn three stars. We highly recommend a visit!
